There is a revolution going on in science – Dr. Amit Goswami

The Quantum Activist : Dr. Amit Goswami Movie Trailer from BlueDot Productions on Vimeo.

A genuine paradigm shift. While mainstream science remains materialist, a substantial number of scientists are supporting and developing a paradigm based on the primacy of consciousness.

Indeed, the scientific evidence is beginning to show that we live in a holographic universe where everything is contained in everything else. From that perspective, there are no separate parts. There’s only the One indivisible whole that appears to be fragmented and separate. When enough people really get this Truth, the understanding would radically alter the way in which we interrelate. That’s what makes conferences such as the Science and Nonduality Conference so important.

Media and culture play an important role in shaping how we perceive reality. Today’s media promotes fear, consumerism, and a “dualistic” (or “multiplistic”) worldview. Fortunately, the subject of Nonduality is making its way into films and new media. The Science and Nonduality Conference also includes a film festival which will include a new film, The Quantum Activist, about the work of Amit Goswami who will be tying the science of quantum mechanics to consciousness and to the many world’s religious traditions. Professor Goswami will also be in attendance.

The censorship and suppression of challenging ideas

Nobody should have a monopoly of the truth in this universe. The censorship and suppression of challenging ideas against the tide of mainstream research, the blacklisting of scientists, for instance, is neither the best way to do and filter science, nor to promote progress in the human knowledge. The removal of good and novel ideas from the scientific stage is very detrimental to the pursuit of the truth.

There are times when new scientific and clearly reasoned information is presented to you that is so mind blowing that time seems to stand still. Even as a layman, I found Hilton Ratcliffe’s logical reasoning like a huge breath of fresh air. No more nonsense like we were fed in high school, with a little help from Hollywood and movies such as ‘The Time Machine’ that you can travel forward in time, as time is a tool humans use in measurement based in reality and not on reversible equations. He also clearly explains why redshift is light decaying and its wavelength elongating over vast stretches of time over billions of light years, so that redshift could be more an indication of time rather than recessional velocity. Redshift was used by Big Bang theorists to construct their theory that the universe was expanding in all directions from some supposed big bang. I truly enjoyed this very readable book as it opened up my mind as to why the Big Bang Theory really doesn’t make much sense when you think the whole theory through.

The Virtue of Heresy: Confessions of a Dissident Astronomer

Is the Universe really expanding? When the Big Bang Theory was first conceived it looked good – but since then, result after result has gone against the theory. Instead of rejecting the model, as we are told ‘real Science’ should do, mainstream scientists have continued to invent patch after patch in a bid to save it – but in doing so, the theory has lost its experimental support.

Exposing Scientific Dogmatism and Scholasticism

On the contrary, as Hubble himself recognized after Zwicky pointed out the Tired Light hypothesis, a Redshift is just that, a Redshift in the incoming Light, and such a shift does not necessarily correlate with a Doppler Shift effect of a rapidly receding galaxy. The actual evidence and recent evidence about the clumpiness of the CMB being aligned with the Milky Way (rather than early universe galactic seeds), quantised redshifts, hugely redshifted quasars in not very distant galaxies etc. all support the Tired Light hypothesis in which photons interact with intergalactic plasma, losing frequency (=redshifted)to electrons which recoil and then emit low energy photons which actually create the CMB.
