The Science Delusion

In this video, British biologist Dr. Rupert Sheldrake, one of the world’s most innovative scientists, describes how science is being constricted by unexamined assumptions that have hardened into dogmas. These dogmas not only put arbitrary limits on the depth and scope of science, but may well be dangerous for the future of humanity.

According to these dogmas, all of reality is material or physical; the world is an inanimate machine; nature is purposeless; free will is an illusion; notions of higher orders of consciousness and absolute (“God“) awareness exist only as ideas in human minds, which are themselves nothing but electrochemical processes imprisoned within our skulls.

So Dr. Sheldrake asks: should science be an ideology or belief system, or should it reclaim its birthright as an unbiased, open-ended method of inquiry? In his latest book, SCIENCE SET FREE (or “The Science Delusion“), he argues that the materialist ideology is moribund; under its sway, increasingly expensive research is reaping diminishing returns while societies around the world are paying the price. In the skeptical spirit of true science, SCIENCE SET FREE turns ten fundamental dogmas of materialist science into exciting questions, and shows how all of them open up startling new possibilities for discovery. This book may well challenge your view of what is real and what is possible.

Can Science and Religion be Integrated?

Can science and religion be integrated? What comes to mind immediately is that religions themselves cannot agree with one another whereas science is basically monolithic. How can there even be trade between the two, let alone integration?

Currently, the overall perception of science is that it is materialist. The belief is that science cannot be done without the dogma of material monism: all things of our experience have a material origin.

On the other hand, there is common ground for all religions in three respects:
1) all religions agree that there is God …
2) All religions also posit the existence of non-material “subtle” bodies connected with our internal experiences–feeling, meaning, and values–in addition to the material body.
3) All religions posit the importance of certain values as the goal of life; values such as, love, truth, beauty, justice, good.

The Dogma of Material Monism
Currently, the overall perception of science is that it is materialist. The belief is that science cannot be done without the dogma of material monism: all things of our experience have a material origin.

It is only logical that the practitioners of materialist science should have something to object and negate about the three religious contentions about reality enunciated above.

Materialists also posit that God, consciousness, mind, feelings, values, all things internal besides what we experience externally, matter, are explainable in material terms.

In quantum physics, objects are not determined things of Newtonian vintage. Instead, they are waves of possibility. When we observe, these waves “collapse” into actual events in our experience. Instead of spread-out waves what we observe is a localized particle. This is the famous observer effect.

The resolution of the paradox is to turn the materialist view of consciousness upside down. Let consciousness be the base of the world and let matter consist of waves of possibilities of consciousness. Consciousness chooses from the possibility waves of matter within it to collapse the actual events that we observe.

For the materialist model of individual consciousness associated with each brain, the solution is called solipsism. Only your consciousness is real; everybody else is a fragment of your imagination.

The good news is that not one, but three separate experiments are now showing that quantum consciousness, the author of downward causation is nonlocal, is unitive, is God.

The Morphic Field War

Definition of War
War is an organized, armed, and, often, a prolonged conflict that is carried on between states, nations, or other parties typified by extreme aggression, social disruption, and usually high mortality. In 2003, Nobel Laureate Richard E. Smalley identified war as the sixth of ten biggest problem facing the society of mankind for the next fifty years. In the 1832 treatise On War, Prussian military general and theoretician Carl von Clausewitz defined war as follows:

War is thus an act of force to compel our enemy to do our will.

Covert Operation
According to the Department of Defense Dictionary of Military and Associated Terms, a covert operation (also as CoveOps or covert ops) is “an operation that is so planned and executed as to conceal the identity of or permit plausible denial by the sponsor.” It is intended to create a political effect which can have implications in the military, intelligence or law enforcement arenas. Covert operations aim to fulfill their mission objectives without any parties knowing who sponsored or carried out the operation.

Navy Seals

A clandestine operation is an intelligence or military operation carried out in such a way that the operation goes unnoticed by the general population. The difference between covert and clandestine operation is that clandestine means “hidden,” while covert means “deniable“. Secrecy and stealthiness are often desired in clandestine and covert operations.

Spiritual Warfare
War is not only fought with arms made of steel. It begins in the spiritual realm and it ends on the physical realm. Nearly 2000 years ago a man who was aware of his spiritual needs wrote the following words:

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12)

Spiritual warfare is about war on a spiritual level or on the level of the collective consciousness. It can reach the physical level as an consequence of the war fought on the spiritual level, but most time the battles are unseen by the majority. So spiritual warfare has a certain similarity to covert operation, where the enemy attacks, but remains hidden and invisible.

Different Levels of Planetary Consciousness
1999 George Vithoulkas wrote a very interesting article with the title “Can Medicine or Religion save the planet from a major catastrophe?“. He explained the different levels of “planetary consciousness” (another term for the collective consciousness). Let’s see what the first 4 layers of the “dark subconscious” are:

1) There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people at this moment working in secret services and societies like the CIA, the Mossad, the KGB… etc etc. Every country is trying to organize as secretly and as efficiently as possible these centers of information and power.

These type of people who join such organizations have great inferiority complexes, thirst for personal power, thirst to dominate others, to exploit others, to use power over others with a total disregard for human values and yet, with great hypocrisy, they claim that what they are doing is for the good of others and for the benefit of their countries.

2) Then the second group of collective negative activity on these levels are the mafias of the different countries and ethnic groups, dealing with organized crime, illegal drugs, arms trafficking etc etc. All these activities are taking place in the dark subconscious levels of our societies. Everybody knows the type of people that will join such societies; there is no need for characterizations; everybody knows the effect that such organizations exercise in our every day life, in our conscious levels, you only have to see the news, and the TV films to get an idea of their influence.

3) The third group which is the strongest, is the group of the super rich that take important but covert decisions on world economy and they too are geared not by altruistic sentiments but by greed and power.

4) All other activities that we call the underground world.

The collective consciousness of humanity can be regarded as an individual being with a dark subconscious and a emerging hyper-consciousness, both levels are opposed to each other. It is like a man with a divided heart, struggling to resist temptation, between good and evil.

Vithoulkas wrote that our hope as a planet will be that a sufficient number of evolved individuals attain a high degree of consciousness, so high as to reach the critical point that will be needed to cause a total transformation, a radical change, a quantum jump in the general consciousness, and as a consequence form a planetary hyper consciousness that will transcend totally the present situation.

His next sentence is the most interesting one regarding the spiritual warfare:

There are individuals who work in silence towards this goal.

Such individuals are people who are specialized in areas of science, art, religion and transcendental. This type of individual forms at the moment an undercurrent trend, not too obvious, but one that is nevertheless emerging fast and strong.

Vithoulkas continue with the following words: Apart from these leaders there is already a widely spread awareness amongst millions of people that are fed up with atrocities, immorality, and criminality and are giving all their efforts and energy in this quest for True values and real happiness. The world actually is preparing for a major transition from the present state of consciousness to a quantum jump that will transcend this state of affairs.

Fighting against an Awakening
The deep dark core of the collective subconscious fights against the awakening of the collective consciousness. It builds up resistance against this awakening process, because it’s own life depends on the spiritual sleep of the majority. Imagine a criminal person who acts in the dark and suddenly someone switch on the light. The light is terrifying for such people who desire to remain unseen in order to do whatever they desire to do. But the awakening of the collective consciousness would expose all their criminal activity.

Morphic Fields of the Dark Core
Every thought forms a invisible field known as morphic field. Rupert Sheldrake’s theory is that by repeating a thought the field becomes stronger and finally stabilize becoming independent of the individual who original got it in his mind. If many people has the same thought a critical mass can be reached and the thought jumps over to all other people on the planet.

For example a totally new crossword puzzle printed on a newspaper is more difficult to solve than a old one. Why? Because if we try to solve a old crossword puzzle, which was solved already by thousands or even millions of people in the past, a morphic field for the solution exist and it will boost our ability to solve the puzzle. A lot of experiments have proofed the this theory.

Morphic fields can help a human being to learn new things, but they can also hinder the learning process. Some morphic fields was intentionally created in order to keep awareness on a low level. Such fields hinders the spiritual progress of the individual person as also of the collective consciousness. Most of this fields has their origin in a ancient culture and are very strong, because their essence was embedded in different other morphic fields, all interconnected with each other. Many people today reinforce this fields unintentionally and without knowing their real origin. So they not only has survived thousands of years, they also got stronger and more stable.

Ancient False Religion

This dark morphic fields are opposed to the Truth. They obscure and obfuscate the path to greater spiritual treasures. Even if a person is trying his best to do good things, this invisible fields will hinder his well-intentioned thoughts and acts. Criminal acts are more likely to occur if morphic fields of past similar crimes exist. Bad behavior are more likely to occur if morphic fields of similar behavior already exist, … and so on.

Is a fight against the mafia successful if single individuals are arrested? If in Italy exist a strong morphic field which facilitate the emergence of organized crime, the problem cannot be solved on a physical level. Even worse is the fact that morphic fields are nonlocal and under circumstances these organized crimes emerge somewhere else, with an easy access to the collective experience of the past organizations via morphic resonance.

The Morphic Field War
Now this is the definition of a “morphic field war“: It is fought on a spiritual level or on the level of the collective consciousness, building up morphic fields, stabilizing them, infiltrating morphic fields in preexisting organizations, dissolving the morphic fields of the enemy or weakening them.

Ancient morphic fields can be destroyed if the majority give their consent. From this point of view the art of war is different than traditional war with physical weapons. A minority can become a majority if it reaches a critical mass. Such things can happen suddenly and apparently without warning.

Surfing the Big Monster Wave of Consciousness

Surfing,by danflo on flickr

How does a wave like this one in the photo emerge?

In fact in the question “how does it emerge?” contains a important keyword: Emergence!
“Emergence is the way complex systems and patterns arise out of a multiplicity of relatively simple interactions. Emergence is central to the theories of integrative levels and of complex systems.”
Source: Emergence Wikipedia

Observe this termite “cathedral” mound produced by a termite colony.

Emergence in termite colony

This is a classic example of emergence in nature.

How is it possible that millions of tiny insects can collaborate to build such a complex building, with air conditioning, specialized rooms for different purposes and maintain in it in a perfect collaboration?
Every single insect is not able to do only a fraction of this work. As individuals they are not intelligent enough. But as a collective their power and creativity is much more than the simple sum of all individuals. It seems that out of the mass it emerge something massively more complex.

Indeed the theory of “morphic fields” is a good explanation for this kind of collective consciousness. Ants, termites, bees, all this insects works together like as they “know exactly” what to do, when to do and how to do.

Back to the example of the water wave. All the molecules in the water move in a chaotic manner in different direction. But they all hold together by a electromagnetic field generated by the different charges of oxygen and hydrogen atoms. Because of this invisible field they can act as ONE.

Is there a relation between the electromagnetic field generated by our brain and the field generated by water-molecules?
Recently scientist has discovered that our conscious mind could be an electromagnetic field. And some open minded scientists has also discovered that water has a memory. Both phenomenons has one thing in common: The Electromagnetic field!
And to add to this amazing discoveries some more I will not hold back the other discoveries made in the field of genetic and quantum physic. For example the DNA Phantom Effect, proofing that the DNA imprint his information into the empty space, in the vacuum, or that the mind is able to read the DNA code, interpret it and that the DNA also is affected by our mind, words and so on.

There are so many pieces of this big puzzle, that more and more they come together, than more the big picture assemble in front of our eyes. Maybe we can egoistical think “I will get some day a Nobelprice for my research and become rich and famous …”, but the truth is that the individual human is not able to do nothing! Yeah, you read right … the individual is able to do nothing, because the ideas jumping into our mind are not our own merit, because we are indeed ONE, we share one memory field, one collective consciousness field! The ideas comes from all of us! And they have not their origin in the individual!
(See also “The human DNA is a biological Internet“)

Is this idea difficult to comprehend? Then the implication of it will be even more difficult to grasp! Because they are vast! They are so deeply affecting our reality that we need to admit that every thought will change our reality, not only for “ME” but also for you and everyone else too! I would say this is a big responsibility that everyone has. Our private thoughts are not so private as we may think! I cannot imagine in my mind to do something without that my thoughts will affect the thoughts of my neighbor! He is also connected to the collective mind as myself. Therefore I need to keep on the watch what kind of thoughts I am used to have and if necessary to correct them. We are all breathing the same air!

Establishing new paths

Trail,a4gpa,Eric Ward

If many people follows the same path a trail forms on the ground. This trail becomes visible and then as consequence more and more people follow it, because it’s easier to follow an established path than to go every time a new way.

“… In the days of Ja´el, pathways had no traffic,
And the travelers of roadways would travel by roundabout pathways.”
(Judges 5:6)

So many people follows a well established path of thinking and behaving, centered on the own EGO. The path of consumerism guides to the enslavement. The path of ignorance guides to enslavement. The path of the own Ego guides to isolation and a sad life.
This established paths are easier to follow, because the crowds follows them. They build the patterns that affects the thoughts of the collective mind. The “Noosphere” is feed by these crowds that on the other hand are manipulated by lobbies through great propaganda campaigns and well equipped public relation agencies. The television is in the hand of few powerful elites manipulating billions. Mass Media is controlling what we are thinking. Everything else, open minded thinking, thinking out of the box, is a thread to the system, is a taboo and the crowds follows the command of his invisible King (of this reality build on sand) to suppress everyone and everything that swims upstream.

What can I personally do?
Every single individual should recognize their responsibility and take action to change their own way of thinking. Instead of following the path of the ego one should serve the others. These are nothing new. The greatest man who ever lived has once said that we should serve and love each other. This is an attitude to achieve, a way of thinking. Achieving more knowledge and insight of what the Bible says how we should act and think will transform our personality. Behind the Holy Word is a spiritual force, a vast field that belongs not to humans morphic field, but to a morphic field of heavenly creatures serving the ONE consciousness. If we reconnect to this field, new paths will be established. Millions of people are right now doing this.

Surfing the Big Monster Wave of Consciousness
The Awakening of the Collective Consciousness will be like a Big Monster wave. We need to prepare on individual level to surf on this huge wave, else we will be overwhelmed by the great amount of spiritual energy flowing through the human field when the Awakening will happen.

This means not that we need to fear the crowds and the few elites, but we need to fear in a positive manner the ONE consciousness that soon will act against the supporter of this system of enslavement. We are only ants. The ONE is much bigger and powerful than we can imagine.

Is the establishing of a new way of thinking difficult? Yes, it is! But it is like learning to surf. If you succeed only once on holding the balance for a short time, you will get addicted to it, for your benefit and for everyone else too.

The Extended Mind: Recent Experimental Evidence

We have been brought up to believe that the mind is located inside the head. But there are good reasons for thinking that this view is too limited. Recent experimental results show that people can influence others at a distance just by looking at them, even if they look from behind and if all sensory clues are eliminated. And people’s intentions can be detected by animals from miles away. The commonest kind of non-local interaction mental influence occurs in connection with telephone calls, where most people have had the experience of thinking of someone shortly before they ring. Controlled, randomized tests on telephone telepathy have given highly significant positive results. Research techniques have now been automated and experiments on telepathy are now being conducted through the internet and cell phones, enabling widespread participation.

Materialism has gradually hardened into a kind of anti-Christian faith

Rupert Sheldrake, who has long called for this development, spells out this need forcibly in his new book. He shows how materialism has gradually hardened into a kind of anti-Christian faith, an ideology rather than a scientific principle, claiming authority to dictate theories and to veto inquiries on topics that don’t suit it, such as unorthodox medicine, let alone religion. He shows how completely alien this static materialism is to modern physics, where matter is dynamic. And, to mark the strange dilemmas that this perverse fashion poses for us, he ends each chapter with some very intriguing “Questions for Materialists“, questions such as “Have you been programmed to believe in materialism?“, “If there are no purposes in nature, how can you have purposes yourself?“, “How do you explain the placebo response?” and so on.

In short, he shows just how unworkable the assumptions behind today’s fashionable habits have become. The “science delusion” of his title is the current popular confidence in certain fixed assumptions – the exaltation of today’s science, not as the busy, constantly changing workshop that it actually is but as a final, infallible oracle preaching a crude kind of materialism.

Rupert Sheldrake’s Alternative Science

Richard Dawkins will barely give him the time of day and many other scientists hint darkly that he has gone mad. Since 1981, when a leader in the journal Nature accused him of “pseudoscience” and “finding a place for magic within scientific discussion”, Rupert Sheldrake has been outlawed by the science establishment.

But, before he went rogue, he was accepted as a very distinguished biochemist indeed so he cannot easily be dismissed as an ill-informed fantasist. The origin of his heresy lay in his conviction that biochemistry alone could not solve the problem of how organisms assumed their final form, the process of morphogenesis. He alighted on the idea of morphic resonance. We are all surrounded by as yet undetected fields, which carry information from the past that forms new organisms. Not only that, they carry our memories and store skills. So, thanks to morphic resonance, the first person who learns to ride a bike makes it easier for the second person and so on.

This points to a perennial failing of the institution of science (and, in fairness, of most institutions) — dogmatic vanity.

In a series of books, Sheldrake has explored the evidence for and the implications of this idea. This involves ordinary phenomena such as dogs who know when their owner is coming home and the way people seem to know they are being stared at, as well as critiques of the whole edifice of materialist science.

Free Thinking and Forbidden Books

It’s like butter and bread, like sun and moon, … free thinking and forbidden books are a marriage which incorporate a revolution in the mind, which affects the heart and then it generates a force able to change a whole society, a world, a system. For long time the church was opposed to the translation of the Holy Bible into a modern language understandable for the common folk. They feared so much that someone could “illegally” translate it that they put the act of translation as an act of heresy, with the consequence that whoever tried to translate the Holy Bible risked is own life. Free thinking is something promoted by the teaching of the Bible … I know it sounds strange, but indeed the Bible is the main book for learning how to think free and how to use the own brain instead to accept dogmatism enslavement. For this very reason the church feared and still fears that people open their mind to the truth and reject their system of false religion and illusions.

Likewise there exist other books which are or was banned for political or other reasons. One of them is “Animal Farm” written by George Orwell, banned in the U.S.S.R, Kenya and in the United Arab Emirates, because it criticizes corrupt leaders.

Some other books are not banned directly, but the opposing force derives from some so called “authorities” in science, which calls books or ideas even today in our modern world a “heresy“. Than this books are indeed worth to be read. The books of Dean Radin and Rupert Sheldrake triggered a earthquake inside the scientific community.

Remember this fact: nothing stable and true can be affected by earthquakes. Only illusions are affected by the strong vibration emitted by free thinking minds.

Morphic Fields and Morphic Resonance

Morphic field
Morphic field” is a term introduced by Rupert Sheldrake. He proposes that there is a field within and around a “morphic unit” which organizes its characteristic structure and pattern of activity. According to Sheldrake, the “morphic field” underlies the formation and behaviour of “holons” and “morphic units“, and can be set up by the repetition of similar acts or thoughts. The hypothesis is that a particular form belonging to a certain group, which has already established its (collective) “morphic field”, will tune into that “morphic field“. The particular form will read the collective information through the process of “morphic resonance“, using it to guide its own development. This development of the particular form will then provide, again through “morphic resonance“, a feedback to the “morphic field” of that group, thus strengthening it with its own experience, resulting in new information being added (i.e. stored in the database). Sheldrake regards the “morphic fields” as a universal database for both organic (living) and abstract (mental) forms.

That a mode of transmission of shared informational patterns and archetypes might exist did gain some tacit acceptance when it was proposed as the theory of the collective unconscious by renowned psychiatrist Carl Jung. According to Sheldrake, the theory of “morphic fields” might provide an explanation for Jung’s concept as well. Also, he agrees that the concept of akashic records, term from Vedas representing the “library” of all the experiences and memories of human minds (souls) through their physical lifetime, can be related to “morphic fields“, since one’s past (an akashic record) is a mental form, consisting of thoughts as simpler mental forms (all processed by the same brain), and a group of similar or related mental forms also have their associated (collective) “morphic field“. (Sheldrake’s view on memory-traces is that they are non-local, and not located in the brain.)

Morphic resonance
Essential to Sheldrake’s model is the hypothesis of morphic resonance. This is a feedback mechanism between the field and the corresponding forms of morphic units. The greater the degree of similarity, the greater the resonance, leading to habituation or persistence of particular forms. So, the existence of a morphic field makes the existence of a new similar form easier.

Sheldrake proposes that the process of morphic resonance leads to stable morphic fields, which are significantly easier to tune into (like a path).

Consciousness involves a different kind of causation

Like many phenomenons in quantum mechanics scientists today know, also consciousness is not limited by time and space. The formation of the cause involves a kind of retrocausality. Consciousness is able to project into the past and set the cause backwards in time, even before this person came into existence. Indeed the consciousness now meets the consciousness of the past, and then both creates reality. So there is a limit. The limit is not time nor space, but it’s the consciousness from the past that contributes 50% to the formation of the cause for the actual observer. Indeed this is very logic.

Habits and Memory is from the Past
So the formation of reality (let it call “cause” if you like it more in the classical scientific way) is formed by the consciousness in the past and from the consciousness of the present. Both could be the same person. Rupert Sheldrake explains it in similar way: The consciousness from the future (from all kind of possible futures) meets the consciousness from the past. The point where they meet is the present, the point where the wave function collapse.

I personally think that in this insight lies a key for further understanding how eternal life could be possible. Humanity should be able to fulfill certain requirements at the present in order to create a perpetual reality (fractal reality, including self-similar thoughts and altruistic actions) in the future, together with the collective consciousness from the future. This kind of worldview is still in it’s “initial stage“, but perhaps there is a book which explains exactly the requirements for creating such a “standing wave“.
